New Associates - Jerry and Roberta Folmar - September 15

The Ursuline Sisters and Associates welcome Jerry and Berta Folmar as our newest Associates. Jerry and Berta were mentored by Associate Ethel Hodnicki.

The Folmars moved from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, home of Little League Baseball, about 20 years ago. They now reside in Sylvania, Ohio and are now parishioners at St. Clement Parish.

It was while visiting Dan Hodnicki while he was a resident at the Ursuline Center that the Folmars gained a greater appreciation for the Ursulines and became interested in becoming Associates. “We saw the amazing care that Dan received,” Berta says. “Ethel introduced us to the Sisters and we spent a year thinking about becoming Associates. We have thoroughly enjoyed everyone we’ve met. Everyone is kind, friendly, open, and just wonderful.”

Jerry and Berta are “snowbirds” and go to Florida for six months at a time. When in Ohio, they plan to visit and join the Ursuline Sisters and Associates often in our activities.

Welcome, Jerry and Berta, to the Toledo Ursuline Associates.
