Celebrating the Feast of St. Angela on January 26, 2020

Posted 12/31/2019

On January 26, 2020 the Ursuline Sisters and Associates will be celebrating the feast of St. Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Sisters, with a liturgy at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch.

A guest speaker, Sister Diane Fulgenzi, an Ursuline of the Central Province will give a presentation after lunch on “Angela, Woman of Vision.”

Playing on the perfect eyesight vision of 20/20, the Ursulines of Toledo continue to follow St. Angela as she envisioned the mission of her Company when founded in 1535. St. Angela permeated deep faith, compassion, hospitality, relationality and a sense of mission and ministry in her surroundings in Desenzano and Brescia, Italy. Her vision has been carried into the 21st Century and probably is more alive now than in 1535.

Sister Diane will further explore the aspects of mission and vision in the life of St. Angela and how relevant St. Angela is in our world today. The afternoon session will take place in the Convent Offices at 1:00 p.m.

Sister Diane has a rich background in Ursuline life having been in Vocation and Formation ministry, education, knowledge of St. Angela, leadership in her community and other roles on service. She has recently been named as temporary Sponsorship Director of the Central Province.
