December 2 - 40th Commemoration of the Roses in December

Posted 10/29/2020

In these days of COVID-19 celebrating with members of the Ursuline Community and Associates has been quite the challenge.

LCWR (Leadership Conference of Women Religious) remind us to celebrate the gift of Dorothy Kazel, OSU; Maura Clarke, MM; Ita Ford, MM; and Jean Donovan who were brutally murdered by the US-supported Salvadoran military on December 2, 1980 for their ministry and for their dedication to those living in poverty.

The Ursulines of Toledo will be sharing a prayer service with their sisters on ZOOM as well as informing the Sylvania Franciscans, Notre Dames, Visitations and Tiffin Franciscans.  We pray for all who labor for justice in El Salvador  and in other parts of the world who suffer at the hands of the military.  May a new generation arise who will dedicate their lives to continue the legacy of these four women.
