January Partner in Mission - Haley Weaver

Posted 12/30/2020

In these most unusual times, a key goal at the Ursuline Center is to keep the residents and staff healthy and safe from the COVID-19 virus.

Our entire staff has been working diligently to do just that. Haley Weaver has worked as a nurse at the Ursuline Center for nearly a year, and most recently stepped in to the infection control role, helping with weekly testing of the staff and residents, among other duties.

The pandemic has generated many challenges for our staff, including testing, paperwork, wearing protective equipment, and caring for the residents in their rooms. “Working in infection control during the pandemic has been extremely challenging with the ever-changing information,” Haley says.

Being around the Sisters and residents at the Ursuline Center is not new to Haley. Her mother, Tammy, has worked as our social worker for almost 20 years. ‘I grew up visiting the Center and enjoy spending time with the Sisters.”

When asked about a highlight of her time here, Haley says she recently helped make turkey pot pies for all the residents that they surely enjoyed.

As one can imagine, Haley has been very busy and we are grateful for her hard work. When she is not working, Haley enjoys playing with her two dogs, a Greyhound named Addison and a French bulldog named Mr. Bojangles.
