Litany of Thanksgiving - Sisters and Associates

Posted 11/1/2019

As Thanksgiving Day approaches, it is only right to acknowledge and give God our gratitude and praise for all the blessings that have been bestowed upon our Ursuline Community.  We share a Litany of Thanksgiving.

Litany of Thanksgiving from Ursuline Sisters and Associates

 Thankful for my Ursuline Sisters and family. Thankful for the ability to continue to share my God-given talents and abilities. Thankful for relatively good health. Thankful for the ability to get a smile and laugh from people as I do my jobs and assignments. Thankful for the ability to see and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation around me. “These are a few of my favorite things.”
 Gratefulness for my faith, family and friends.
 The opportunity to receive Jesus every day in Holy Communion.
 I am thankful for people who are willing to share their love of God by actions and words.
 I am thankful for the love of friends, Associates, Sisters, and family, the beauty of each day, and God’s presence through prayer.

 For the beautiful Fall and for the nuns.
 I am thankful for the various volunteer opportunities I have each week which allows me to answer the call of St. Angela to be available for any work of charity.
 I am thankful for all the loving, caring and genuine support given in times of sorrow and loss; I am grateful for the beauty of nature that moves me to prayer; I am grateful for a God who loves and understands me.
 I am most thankful for all the people that bless me each day and show me God’s love.
 I am most grateful for the blessing of being nourished daily with the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist at Mass.

 I am thankful to be living the Ursuline charism with loving support of my family, Sisters, and Associates.
 I am thankful for the blessings of a holy Catholic marriage.
 My vocation as an Ursuline. All our employees. Family. Friends. All our various Board Members.
 Beautiful family. Wonderful education. Great community. Good Health. Friends. Peaceful Country. Farmers and Manufacturers. People working together. Beautiful Country/Nature. The Changing Seasons. Faithful Priests. Generosity of others in so many ways! Nature. Animals. Insects.
 Creation…life…faith…family…friends…vocation…spiritual journey…contemplative prayer…our beautiful planer…the beauty of nature
 I am grateful for these many years of Ursuline life and for where we are being led now, transitioning into the needs of the world of today and I am grateful for all of our Ursuline Associates who will continue to carry the legacy of Saint Angela into the developing future.
